Merrill Louis Hatch

Magna/Koosharem, Utah - Merrill Louis Hatch, age 53, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004 at his home in Magna, due to pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1951 in Salina, Utah, a son of Clarin Sidney and Helen Anna Erickson Hatch. Merrill grew up in Magna and lived there most of his life, but he always considered Koosharem his home. He graduated from Cypress High School, Class of 1969. He spent the last six years of his life in Magna. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and he loved the out doors. Merrill was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his children: Chad and Brandy Hatch, Dori and Mark Hasselblad, three grandchildren: Gage, Sadie and Ashlin; brothers and sisters: LaWayne and Marian Hatch, LeGrand and Lynda Hatch, Carolyn and Alvin Hardman, all of Koosharem, Clarina and Paul Gillett of Magna, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Koosharem, Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery. Merrill is very much loved and will be missed.
