Green River, Wyoming/Loa, Utah - Our amazing brother and uncle, Michael McKinlay, age 60, of Green River, Wyoming and formerly of Loa, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born August 26, 1953 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Lyle Kay and LaVee Maxfield McKinlay. Mike moved to Green River, after his mother passed away four years ago. Prior to that, he had lived with his mother in Loa, for 18 years and Salt Lake City before that. Mike's interests were being with family, fishing, and playing slot machines and bingo. He also love putting together puzzles. It's amazing how many lives Mike was able to touch. He will be truly missed. He is survived by his four brothers and their wives: Ronald K. and Linda McKinlay of Twin Falls, Idaho; Russ and Paula McKinlay of Alpine; Gregory A. and Debbie McKinlay of West Jordan; Steven Lyle and Mona McKinlay of Green River, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVee and Lyle McKinlay. Grave side services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Lyman Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Loa LDS Stake Center, Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
