Michael "Pete" Peterson

Richfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father and son, Michael William Peterson, age 31, of Richfield, died April 6, 2016 in Richfield. He was born April 29, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of William Gary "Bill" and Lora Lee Jensen Peterson. He graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 2002 and then attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He married the love of his life, Natalie Mellor, November 11, 2006 in Fayette, Utah. To this union were born two wonderful sons: Sam and Liam. Michael was happiest when he was working with his Dad at Peterson Plumbing in Richfield. He loved animals, his five cats were very much part of his family. He loved playing Nintendo with his boys. When he was riding dirt bikes and jumping the Razor, you could see the light in his eyes and knew he was having a great time. Michael is survived by his wife, Natalie, their two sons, Sam and Liam, his parents, Bill and Lora Lee Peterson, all of Richfield; his mother-in-law: Lynette Mellor of Fayette; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Kelly Mellor; and his grandparents: George Vernon Peterson, Virginia Erickson Peterson, Duane Franklin Jensen and Virginia Whyte Christensen. Because of the sensitivity and health condition of some of the family, please do not wear perfumes and/or lotions to the viewing or funeral and if you have a cold, please call the family instead of coming to the services. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 12 Noon in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richield and Salina, Utah.
