Mike Burr

Salina, Utah - Theodore Michael “Mike” Burr, age 64, of Salina, died July 6, 2007 in Gunnison, Utah of cancer. He was born March 5, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Theodore Henry “Ted” and Geneive Lucy “Genny” Kane Burr. He graducated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1961. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Southern Utah in Cedar City. He married Barbara Davis August 29, 1985 in Orem, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 3, 2000. Mike was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School President and a member of the High Priest Quorum. Mike was an avid hunter of deer and elk. He raised pigeons and other exotic birds. He is survived by his wife of Salina; children: Brandon and Bonnie Burr of Salina; Brenda Tallerico of Salt Lake City; step-children: Perry Johnston, Sandra Johnston, both of Tooele; Rodetta and Don McDonald of Provo; 11 grand children and 5 great-grandchildren; his father, Ted Burr of Salina; sister: Barbara and Kelly Laier of Salina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Genny Burr and a step-son, Terry Johnston. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 west 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
