Mitch Kevin Nielson

Salina, Utah - Mitch Kevin Nielson, passed away in Richfield on November 3, 2024, at the age of 67, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Mitch was born on July 21, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Bryce and Donna Nielson.

Mitch grew up in Salt Lake City, but later moved to Sevier County, where he found his profound love for the outdoors. He loved spending days on the mountain chasing deer and elk. Mitch was happiest when he was fishing. He would go anywhere the fish were, but Rex's Reservoir was his favorite. 

Mitch was an incredible artist, even winning awards with his drawings. 

Mitch is survived by his children: Stephanie King and Clint Nielson and his siblings: Bryce Nielson, Sandy Robbins, and Dortha Mortensen.

Mitch was preceded in death by his parents Bryce and Donna Nielson; his brothers George and Richard Nielson; his sister Tonya Hardy; nephew James Mortensen. 

Graveside services will be held November 7, 2024, at 12 Noon, at the Pioneer Cemetery in Salina, Utah. Friends may call for viewing from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Springer Turner Funeral Home located at 150 E Main St, Salina, UT.
