Our kind and loving mother, sister and aunt, Mitzi Mickelson Snow, age 63, of Richfield, passed peacefully away on Friday, August 7, 2015, after a brave and valiant battle with metastatic cancer. She was born July 5, 1952 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Garth Rulon and Lola Bertha Anderson Mickelson. She grew up in Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1970. She then attended Snow College in Ephraim. Mitzi married Steven Lee Snow, December 4, 1981 in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they made their home in Richfield, raising four children. They were later divorced, but remained good friends. Mitzi was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as ward librarian, visiting teacher and primary worker. She worked at Ashman Elementary School in Richfield as a Teacher's Aide, retiring in 2013 after 37 years of service. She loved tutoring children and being a youth advocate. Mitzi loved shopping, swimming, holidays and celebrating her July birthday, all month long. Her greatest desire was being an excellent Mom. She is survived by her children: Scott Lee Snow of West Jordan; Shalee and Michael Dennis John of South Jordan; Spencer Steven Snow, Sidnie Ann and Michael William Anderson, all of Pleasant Grove; brothers and sister: Gregory R. Mickelson, Steven Garth and Kathy N. Mickelson, all of Richfield; Stephanie and Richard Kitchen of Roswell, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garth R. and Lola A. Mickelson. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Intermountain Hospice, Sevier Valley Hospital nurses and staff, the Richfield Care Center, and Dr. David Crimin, for their tender care and service to our Mom during her final weeks. Also thanks to all who donated to the gofundme account. You're forever in our thoughts and prayers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 805 North 500 East in Richfield.
