Mona Lee Johanson

Redmond, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Mona Lee Wright Johanson, age 63, of Redmond, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly August 14, 2017 in Richfield, Utah of a heart attack. She was born October 1, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Chadburn Ezekiel and Beth Butterfield Wright. She graduated from Brighton High School, Class of 1972. She married Charles Lee Roberts, December 12, 1978 in Mesquite, Nevada. They were later divorced. She married Charles Arthur Johanson March 19, 2003 in Redmond, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple August 14, 2009. Mona was very active in the LDS Church, where she served as a Relief Society Teacher, Primary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Ward Librarian, Funeral Luncheon Committee and she was a dedicated Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed camping outdoors, square dancing, reading, singing old-time songs and watching old movies. She loved family activities and gatherings, Holiday Parties, crocheting and playing card games. She will be greatly missed. Mona is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck of Redmond; children: Kathy and Jon Maxwell, Chad and Kresta Roberts, all of Salina; step-children: Rachel and Slade Perry of Mona; Brian and Mallory Johanson of Richfield; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sister: Denton and Karren Wright of Murray; Earol Wright of Salt Lake City; Vera Artheel Wright of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chad and Beth Wright; step-son: Adam Johanson; step-daughter: Kay Ann Johanson and in-laws: Keith and Jeanetta Wayman. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
