Monica Jacque Nielson

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Monica Jacque Nielson, age 34, was tragically taken from us on July 9, 2021 in an automobile accident up Clear Creek Canyon in Sevier County. She was born October 29, 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Robert Zane and Carole Jeanne Siebert Nielson. Monica grew up in Saudi Arabia and also lived in several states including Wyoming, California, Massachusetts, Texas, Nevada and Utah. She loved road trips and outings with her friends and family, traveling the world and everything about Halloween. She attended Richfield High School and Texas Tech, graduating in 2006. She also logged in over 100 hours in Flight School. Monica enjoyed ATV rides, camping, road trips, attending concerts, rock collecting, traveling and hanging out with her friends and family. She was a loving, giving and loyal friend, had a great sense of humor and a sense of adventure and was always willing to serve others. She had a big heart, a great smile and a unique laugh. Her home, the family cabin and anywhere adventure would take her were special places for Monica. She was a loving auntie to all of her nieces and nephews and her friend’s children. She was also a great and loving Mom to her fur babies. Monica is survived by her mother and step-father, Jeanne and Evan Emett of Richfield; siblings: Tonia and Randy Brunson of Chicago, Illinois; Michelle Holdeman of St. George, Angela and Shannon Lawrence of Provo; Robert Zane and Heather Nielson of Houston, Texas; Kimberley Nielson of Richfield; Andrew and Hayley Nielson, Nicole and Jesse Bunkers, Elisa and Kyle Watts all of Las Vegas, Nevada; Eduardo and DeAnna Emett of Santee, CA; Eric and Karen Emett of Garden Grove, CA; nieces and nephews: Taylor and Jordan Brunson, Ian and Isabelle Holdman, Shan, Akasha, Patrick and Connor Lawrence, Cecily, Ainsley and Robby Nielson, David and Natalie Bunkers; Eleanor Watts and Jacob Emett; her aunt, honorary mother, Mary Ann Siebert of Richfield; and many special friends she touched throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Zane Nielson; and grandparents, Novella and Jack Siebert, Mildred and Hugh Nielson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, with a visitation being held at 10:29 A.M. Friday morning. Live streaming of the services will be available at springerturner.com underneath Monica's obituary and via Facebook Live. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery, with an accompanying bagpipe ceremony, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
