Mozella A. Peterson

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor, Mozella Armanella Anderson Peterson, age 95, of Salina and formerly of Richfield, died February 6, 2008 at her home in Salina of pneumonia. She was born July 14, 1912 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Carl Nels and Armanella Jessen Anderson. She was a graduate of North Sevier High School. She went on to attend beauty school and graduated in Provo, Utah. Mozella returned to Salina and opened her own hair salon. She taught many other ladies her talent, including her sister, Carol. Mozella married Brigham Y. Peterson January 16, 1944 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple January 16, 1963. They were later divorced. Mozella always had either a trailer, camper of motor home and boat and was ready to go fishing. She loved Fish Lake and Maple Grove. There was always family and friends ready to go with her. All have many wonderful memories. Mozella was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various positions. She loved doing genealogy and was called to work in the Manti Temple until her health deteriated. She is survived by her sister, Carol A. Andersen of Gunnison; and two brothers: Valden Anderson of Salina, Bryce and Sally Anderson of Aurora; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Salina 1st LDS Ward and a special thanks to Laurie Hatch for the care given to Mozella and those from Richfield Hospice Group. The family appreciate all that was done for her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West, where friends may call for Saturday morning from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
