Myron B Taylor

April 7, 1934 — March 11, 2018

Salina, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Myron B "Doc" Taylor, departed this world on March 11, 2018, surrounded by family and loved ones, of causes incident to age. He was born April 7, 1934 in Delta, Utah, a son of Samuel Edgar and Margaret Helen Biehler Taylor. He graduated from Hinckley High School, Class of 1952. He married Barbara Kaiser August 23, 1958 in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple April 17, 1979. Myron was a passionate fisherman, photographer, guitarist and outdoorsman. After he retired from IBM, he enjoyed treasure hunting with his metal detector. He was a devoted family man and church member and beloved by all who knew him. He was perhaps best known for his humor and quick wit, a trait he held onto through his final moments. Myron is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, of Salina; children: Justin and Ari Taylor of Seattle, Washington; Brandon and Tien Taylor of Tacoma, Washington; Shannon and Seth Rabb of Kersey, Colorado; Amanda and Anthony Arrington of Yokosuka, Japan; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sandy and Scott Rasmussen of Vernal; Barbara Marstella of San Tan Valley, Arizona; a sister-in-law: Isabelle Taylor of Tempe, Arizona; a daughter-in-law: Pam McCorkle of Sarasota, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his children: David Taylor and Debra Taylor; his parents, Samuel and Margaret Taylor; siblings: Bob Taylor, Lee Taylor, Samuel Taylor, and Marjorie Shirrill. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
