Nellie Hatch

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, Nellie Harding Hatch, age 96, of Salina, died October 17, 2013 in Gunnison, Utah. She was born June 15, 1917 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Isaac Robins and Nellie Murphy Harding. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1936. She married Lloyd Ceral Hatch, March 8, 1937 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, July 19, 1957. He died March 31, 2002. Nellie was an active member of the LDS Church She loved to quilt and do handwork. She has made hundreds of quilts for her family and friends. Nellie loved to go with Lloyd camping and fishing, where she enjoyed the beauty of nature. She enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Her life was centered around her sons, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Nellie is survived by her children: Ronald and Jerrie Hatch of West Valley City; Newell (Deceased October 5, 2013) and Mary Ann Hatch of Aurora; Jarvis and Cathy Hatch of Clifton, Colorado; David and Carol Hatch of Heber City; Michael and Kim Hatch of Brigham City; Scott and Janet Hatch of Salina; 21 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Newell; one brother and two sisters: Isasac Harding, Jennette Deaton and Gwendolyn Rasmussen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
