Norma L. Christiansen

Mayfield, Utah - Our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Norma June Larsen Christiansen, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Mayfield on July 16, 2013. She was born April 11, 1932 in Sterling, Utah, a daughter of Charles William and Mary Arlisha Funk Larsen. She graduated from Manti High School, Class of 1950. She married Murray William Christiansen, October 3, 1952 in Sterling, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in 1954. Norma loved and cherished her family with all her heart. She was devoted to her family. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was an angel here on earth and a blessing to all who knew her. She had many passions in her life, including her family and friends; her beautiful yard; her dog, Lizzy; and the peace and serenity of Mayfield and her home. She was a beautiful person inside and out and her spirit was pure. Norma is survived by her devoted husband, Murray, of Mayfield; her three children: William Kay and Charlotte Christiansen; Lee Ann and Bruce Oliver, all of Mayfield; and Kathy Christiansen of Big Water; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Don and Vivian Larsen of Sterling. She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles William and Mary Arlisha Larsen; her brother, William Lee Larsen; her sister, Jean Larsen Stott; her half siblings: Charles Lionel Larsen, Arta Ottesen, Sydona Larsen, Lloyd Larsen, George Hansen and Mary Hansen; a grandson, Charles Seth Lee Oliver. She will be honored and remembered as she wished at a graveside service at the Mayfield Cemetery on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 12 Noon under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
