Glenwood, Utah – Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Nyala Hilda Bredsguard Zufelt, age 75 of Glenwood, passed away December 13, 2024, in Delta, Utah. She was born July 21, 1949, a daughter and the only child of Nyals Edward and Cleo Verlene Nielson Bredsguard in Richfield, Utah. Her father passed away before Nyala was born and she was raised by her mother and grew up in Glenwood. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1967 and then attended Snow College where she got her cosmetology license. 

Nyala married the love of her life, Brent Zufelt August 24, 1972, in the Manti LDS Temple. To this union were born six wonderful children. They lived and raised their children in Glenwood. Brent preceded her in death July 30, 2018. 

Nyala is a member of the Daughter’s of the Utah Pioneers, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she worked as an aid at the elementary schools. 

 She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, tinkering, camping, hiking and baking.

She will be deeply missed. 

Nyala is survived by her six wonderful children: Regina Marx and Dave Dickman of Grand Junction, Colorado; Jackie and Ryan Nowers of Joseph; Richard and Jana Zufelt of Centerfield; Angela Spafford of Monroe; Wayne and Chelsea Zufelt, Jilleen and Kenneth Walker, all of Richfield; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Kage Spafford and a great-granddaughter, Stevie Marx. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11;00 A.M. in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Glenwood Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. 

Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery along side her beloved husband, Brent, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
