Bicknell, Utah - On April 8, 2011, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Ora Willa Coleman Morrell, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Bicknell, Utah. She was born September 4, 1922 , in Teasdale, Utah the 3rd daughter to Wilford and Lillie Adelia Allen Coleman. Her father Wilford, passed away when Ora was just 3 months old and her mother later married Alford Taylor and 3 more children were added to the families. Ora married William Elwood Morrell September 11, 1942 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death June 8, 1999. Ora was a very faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served as Ward Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society President, worked many years in the Primary and was ward organist for over 75 years. She was the Primary pianist while she was still in Primary. Music and playing the piano brought her great joy. She played for over 200 funerals in her lifetime. Ora also accompanied many musical groups for weddings, funerals and other special occasions. She was a member of the famous Sam’s Orchestra that played for dances over the Southern Utah Area. She was a great mother and sacrificed much for her children. She was a very supportive partner for her husband while they worked on the farm and ranch. Ora was also an avid gardener and shared her produce with many. Ora is survived by her children: Elvon and Paul Jacobs, Mack and Marie Morrell, all of Bicknell; Reed and Pam Morrell of Provo; Dean and Miriam Morrell of Suwanee, Georgia; Gordon and Connie Morrell of Pleasant Grove; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sister: Ona Ree and Frank Killen of Canoga Park, California; brother Glendon and Colleen Taylor of Genola, Utah; Brother-in-law Meeks and LaWana Morrell of Bicknell. She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters: Eula and Waldo Bredsguard, Eva and Grant Julander, Marie and Clarence Rasmussen, Nelma Poulsen, Gerald Taylor and Hulda Taylor Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 1:00 P.M in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
