Owona Brown Grundy

November 27, 1928 — February 2, 2009

Loa, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Owona Brown Grundy, age 80, died February 2, 2009 in Richfield, Utah. She was born November 27, 1928 in Loa, Utah, a daughter of Charles Lavor and May Taylor Brown. She graduted from Wayne High School, Class of 1947. She married Wade Allred Grundy, April 21, 1947 in Loa, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple September 11, 1959. Owona was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries, including Sunday School, Primary, MIA, Relief Society and Compassionate services, all of her life. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Owona loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed being with them. Camping and family reunions were her favorite times. Crocheting, quilting and cooking were all hobbies she enjoyed. She loved her husband with all her heart and soul. She never wanted to be without him. She is survived by her husband, Wade, of Loa; children: Wayne and Jeraldine Grundy of Annabella; Clive D. (Deceased) and Catherine E. Grundy, Douglas J. And Garaldean Grundy, all of Loa; Steven W. And Ileene Grundy of Monroe; Scott L. And Melanie Grundy of Lyman; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother and sister: Arlen and Lorna Brown of Loa; Lois Parsons of Central Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law: Nadine Brown (Kit) Taylor of Loa; Helen F. Grundy of Placerville, CA; Royce Allen of Bennion; Richard (Connie T.) Larsen of Bicknell. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Devon Grundy; grandson, Wayne Jr. Grundy; two sisters and two brothers: Erma B. Allen, Myrna B. Larsen, Dale J. Brown and Earl F. Brown; brother-in-law: Farl J. Grundy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 1:00P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning at the Stake Center in Loa from 11:00 to12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. The family would like to thank the Richfield Care Center, Doctors, nurses and anyone who helped take care of Mom. A special thanks to the Home Health nurses, Terry, Tasha, Sarah and Connie and the Wayne Medical Clinic.
