Salina, Utah - Patricia Joy Wasden Allred (also known as Grandma Trisha, Aunt Pat and Sweetheart) was born to Thad Richard and Valna Joy Mason Wasden, June 12, 1945 in Salina, Utah. She passed away on September 11, 2012, while sleeping at her home in Salina, Utah. Pat married Dell Alvin Allred, March 19, 1966 in the Manti LDS Temple. Pat and Dell have been married for 46 years and raised their family during a 23 year Navy career. They lived throughout California, Guam, Hawaii and England, and made lifelong friends throughout the world. Pat’s last 22 years were home in Salina, where she has suffered with chronic illnesses for years, but kept a positive attitude and worked through them as an example to us all. Pat was raised in a family gifted with music and had an excellent singing voice. She passed this love of music to her children and grandchildren. Before her illness, she was very athletic and worked as an aerobic dance instructor for the U.S. Navy. She won the women’s masters 10 K race at Hyde Park in London, England. She was the most loving and caring mother we could have ever asked for. Her love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has guided her family and is the source of our comfort at this time. We sure miss you Mom and know that you will be checking in on us and awaiting us with open arms when we join you. She is survived by her loving husband, Dell Allred, of Salina; her children: Stacy and Don McKeeby of Hilton, New York; Reg and Wendi Allred of Salina; Bret and Heather Allred of Powell, Wyoming; 11 grandchildren, who were the light of her life; her mother, Valna Wasden of Aurora; brother and sisters: Richard and Sheree Wasden, Rosalie and Michel Colby, Tammy and Steve Tatum, all of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her father, Thad Wasden. Grave side services will be held Monday, September 17, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.
