Patsy Ellen Winn

Centerfield, Utah - We lost our tiny mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on September 15, 2012 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She passed away at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. Our loving Patsy was born on May 28, 1938 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Leonard Allen and Margie Joy Williams Thompson. Her mom passed away when she was three years old and she was raised by her wonderful grandparents. Mom married Jack Devon Winn on September 15, 1954 in Ely, Nevada. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1980. Happy 58th anniversary mom and dad. Mom always said she had the greatest grandparents and that she wanted to be a great grandma. She was the most wonderful grandma who was willing to help each and every one of her grand kids. Mom was a hard worker and worked most of her life. After retirement she loved to work in her yard and pull weeds. Mom loved to play pool, watch her grandchildren, crochet and do puzzles. Mom was a very strong willed woman. She pulled through times when no one thought she would. Her children are Barth Winn, Jackie (Ron) Huff and the late Lori (Scott) Malmgren. She has 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with one more due to arrive any day. Sister; June Fenn, Idaho. She was preceded in death and welcomed into the arms of her grandparents, parents, husband, daughter, and her friend and companion for years, Alma George Ross. We will miss you mom but you have taught us to be strong and never give up. We Love You! We would like to thank Dr. Beck and the wonderful care she gave our mom. We would also like to thank Gunnison Hospice for their exceptional care they gave our mom, as well as the nurses at the hospital who bent over backwards to help our family. Graveside services will be held Thursday September 20, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Centerfield Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Centerfield LDS Ward Chapel, Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
