Monroe, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Pearl Louise Dresser James, age 94, of Monroe, died June 16, 2013 in Richfield, Utah, of complications from a fall she suffered at home in May. She was born March 9, 1919 in Plaistow, New Hampshire, a daughter of Raymond Graham and Hazel Pearle Gale Dresser. She married Lloyd Edward James, October 17, 1934 in Yuma, Arizona. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple in 1967. He died February 3, 1992. Pearl was an active member of the LDS Church serving as a Counselor in the Stake Primary, as Stake Dance Director, Stake Young Women's Beehive Leader, as a Visiting Teacher and Ward Primary Secretary. Pearl enjoyed square dancing, golfing and in her younger years, she loved to play softball. She was known as the "Gem of the Infield". She will be greatly missed, but we know she is now with our Dad and her other family members that have gone on. She is survived by her children: Bob and Valiera James of Monroe, Utah; Janis and Dennis Green of Middleburg, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Gale Dresser and a sister, Gladys Furlong. There will be a viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Utah on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the evening. Pearl will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
