Pearl Wells

Hanksville, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Dortha Pearl Prettyman Wells, age 89, died January 27, 2010 in Kirtland, New Mexico. She was born August 5, 1920 in Grand Junction, Colorado, a daughter and one of six children born to Ernest and Rose Hazel Romjue Prettyman. She grew up in Price, Utah. Pearl married William W. Wells, June 14, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died January 13, 1994. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and always kept a beautiful, clean yard. She had lived in Idaho, Boulder and most of her married life in Hanksville. She will be greatly missed by her children: Donald Laroy and Sharlet Wells, William LaVor and Susan Wells, all of Hanksville; Marion Lee and Shauna Wells of Kirtland, New Mexico; 17 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Hanksville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning after 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Hanksville Cemetery.
