Pericson Peter Peterson

St. George/Redmond, Utah - Pericson Peter Peterson, age 86, passed away May 13, 2006 in St. George, Utah. He was born September 11, 1919 in Salina, Utah, a son of James and Minda Adams Peterson. After serving in the armed forces for four years, he met and married his sweetheart, Tola Artamus Andreasen, June 3, 1947 in Nephi, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, March 19, 1963. In the early years, he was know to his friends as “Bull”, in later years as “Pete”. He will always be remember for his wisdom, generosity, strength and honesty. He was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Tola Peterson of St. George; two sons: Barry Peterson of St. George; Kim and Shiela Peterson of Duschene; two daughters: Kola Peterson of Aurora; Fran and Mitch Mickelsen of Salina; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Peterson and sister, Elsie Peterson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Redmond LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Snow Canyon 6th LDS Ward Chapel, located at 1610 North Dixie Downs Road in St. George, Thursday evening, May 18, 2006 from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Redmond Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Redmond American Legion Post #118 will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
