Priscilla K. Anderton

April 29, 1939 — August 10, 2019

Monroe, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Priscilla Sue King Anderton, age 80, passed away at her home in Monroe on August 10, 2019. She was born April 29, 1939, in Provo, a daughter of June Syrett and Emily LaVell White King. She attended Wayne High School and Stevens Henegar College in Provo. She married Jay Eugene Anderton November 27, 1960 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 26, 1964. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2011. Priscilla was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as Relief Society President, in the Primary and in the Scouting Program. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served as an officer in the Daughter's of the Utah Pioneers. Priscilla enjoyed reading, playing the piano and music, traveling and being with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She is survived by her children: Helen Sue Anderton, David and April Anderton, all of Monroe; Ron Anderton and Rick Jay Anderton, both of Richfield; Julie and Doyle Nielson of Pleasant Grove; grandchildren: Erik and Britton Cram of Cedar Hills, Travis Anderton, Jayden Anderton, both of Richfield; Morgan Anderton, Jay D. Anderton and Kaci Anderton, all of Monroe; great-grandchildren: Denver Cram and Roseleigh Cram, both of Cedar Hills; a brother, John and Lisa King of Cedar City; sister-in-law: Claudia T. King of Provo. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter-in-law: Tammy Anderton; a grandson, Keith Anderton; and two siblings: Don Emery King and Helen King. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
