Redmond, Utah - On Tuesday, November 22, 2016 my special mother gained her angel wings. Ramona Johnson Lewis was born July 7, 1934 in Kanab, Utah to Owen A and Reta Brown Johnson. She passed away in Richfield, Utah. Ramona met her sweetheart, Carl Lewis, when he was delivering coal to the Kanab area and they were married in Las Vegas Nevada on March 19, 1954 and were married for nearly 60 years before Carl passed away January 21, 2014. Mom enjoyed bowling and did so for many years. She stood beside Dad supporting him with his successful businesses. The thing that she enjoyed most was taking care of the family and cleaning our home. She could often been seen washing her windows and always had the cleanest windows in town. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rich and Laura Means and their family, Justin and Brandy Marsh and their family, and Lauri Marsh Burris for their help and compassion with Mom during the past few months. Ramona is survived by her daughter: Colleen (Tim) Willden of Redmond Utah. Her grandsons: Josh (Leslie) Willden of Scipio, Utah and Jade (Brittney) Willden of Mayfield, Utah and 6 great-grandchildren: Hadlee, Zander, Jesse, Danika, Everlie and Timber Willden and also a very special friend, Laura Means and her family, of Redmond, Utah. Ramona is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl; brother, Kelly O. Johnson; and two grandchildren Jesse Carl Willden and Janey Ann Willden. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
