Randy Syddall

March 18, 1955 — April 1, 2024

Randall J. Syddall, age 69, passed away April 1, 2024, at his home in Richfield, Utah. Randy was born March 18, 1955, to William and Berniece Waters Syddall in Richfield.


Randy grew up in the Monroe and Richfield area, where he spent most of his life. In his early years he enjoyed spending time with his brothers. Together they rode horses and moved sheep on Monroe Mountain. He was inseparable from his best buddy, Lynn, who was an integral part of his childhood. Randy attended South Sevier High School.


Randy married Darlene Dutton December 22, 1972, in Monroe. Together they have three children.


Work was an important part of Randy’s life. For the past 40 years he was a heavy equipment operator and CDL truck driver for several companies in the area, including Hales Sand and Gravel, Cox Rocks and JKL Construction.


Randy was an active member of the Richfield Assembly of God. He was a long-standing member of the Church board and considered his church family as his own. Randy enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. His family was always top priority and one of his greatest joys in life. A lover of stories; some of his family's fondest memories are gathered around the campfire listening to him spin his never-ending tales. He loved the mountains, was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jesus and family were the most important aspects of his life. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.


Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene of Richfield; children: Stephanie (Roger) Hall of Monroe, Randall Jr. (Laramie) Syddall of Richfield, Amy (Jose) Madriz of Richfield; siblings: Donna (Ronald) Beason of Monroe, Bonnie Anding of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Billy (Wanda) Syddall of West Valley City, and sister-in-law: Karen Syddall of Monroe. He had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents: William Syddall and Berniece Waters Syddall Rasmussen; stepfather: James Lynn Rasmussen; siblings: Berl (Veon) Syddall, Jackie Syddall, Kay (Sharon) Syddall, John Syddall, Linda (Andy) Walker; two infant brothers.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. prior to services.

Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
