Reed L. Lorentzen “Gone Wrenchin” Salina, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Reed Lavar Lorentzen, age 89, died Monday, November 24, 2003 at his home in Salina. He was born February 17, 1914 in Salina, Utah, a son of Godfred Over and Elma Olivia Johnson Lorentzen. He married Audrie Vera Jensen, October 14, 1944 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She died February 26, 2003. Reed was a master mechanic and owned and operated Reed’s Garage in Salina for many years. He is survived by his daughter, Louise Bown of Salina; son-in-law, Douglas Bown of Fayette; grandchildren: Patti (Bruce) Mitchell of Kamas; Paul (Lynne) Bown of Centerfield; John (Marti) Bown of Gunnison; great-grandchildren: Crystal, Lila, William, Waylon, Dillon, Katelyn and Seth Bown; brother, Marden and Lois Lorentzen of San Jacinto,CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sister: Eden Lorentzen, Ernal Lorentzen, Marvin Lorentzen, Ora Christensen, Vera Calenski, Verna Stayton and Elaine Lorentzen. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, located at 98 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday evening from 6 to 7:30 and again Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
