Remona D. Butcher

Remona D. Butcher 1915 - 2003 Caineville, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Remona Dalton Butcher, age 87, slipped away quietly on Monday, July 14, 2003 in Richfield, Utah. She was born December 24, 1915 in Hurricane, Utah, a daughter of Edwin and Margie Naegle Dalton. She married Ray Edgar Butcher, October 3, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ray preceded her in death, by six weeks, on June 1, 2003. Remona was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed canning the fruits and vegetables that she had raised during the summer months. She like to go camping with her family. She and Ray had lived in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City for about 40 years before moving to Caineville eight years ago. Remona is survived by her children: Larry Butcher of North Salt Lake; Mona Rae and Forrest Sims of Caineville; Eddie and Sharon Butcher of Salt Lake City; grandchildren: Rey and Lilly Butcher, Larry Butcher, Steve and Loretta Butcher, Jason Butcher, Marcie and David Jacobs, Kari and Chad Jolley, Julianne Butcher, (Deceased); 10 great-grandchildren: Max Butcher, Ben Butcher, Samuel Butcher, Anthony Butcher, Brandy Butcher, Brittani Butcher, Austin Butcher, Nikki Jacobs, Troy Jacobs and Joshua Jacobs; one brother: Bud and Dola Dalton of St. George. She was preceded in death by a sister, Deslie Hall. At her request, Remona’s remains have been cremated. Private family memorial services will be held at the family home in Salt Lake City.
