Richard Lee Burr

Hemet, California- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Richard Lee “Dick” Burr, age 82, died July 14, 2010 at his home in Hemet, California. He was born September 15, 1927 in Salina, Utah, a son of Charles Erwin and Ellen Lorraine Anderson Burr. He graduated from Richfield High School. He married Verna Colleen Pehrson, October 7, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. He married Edna King, January 24, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After retiring, Richard loved to travel in his motor home, go golfing, and participate in any outdoor activities. He loved the mountains and the beauty of nature. He is survived by his wife, Edna Burr of Hemet; children: Richard Charles and Linda Burr of Big Bear Lake, California; Dixie Lee Burr (Deceased); Terry C. And Barbara Burr of Arleta, California; Gregory Kim Burr of Sylmar, California; Michael Shaun Burr of Thousand Oaks, California and Martin Ellis Burr of Arleta, California; brothers: Francis Ned Burr of Antimony; Jerry (Deceased) and Nila Burr of Richfield; Charles Verl and Linda Burr of Burrville. Grave side Services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Burrville Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Burrville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
