Richard N. Morris

Salina, Utah - Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Richard Neil Morris, age 62, died December 20, 2010 at his home in Salina. He was born July 11, 1948 in Oroville, Washington, a son of Chester Lawrence and Jean Wood Morris. He grew up in Molson Lake, Washington graduated from High School in Orville. He married Barbara Harrison, March 7, 1965 in Tanaska, Washington. They were later divorced. He married Terry Monett, August 28, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Richard loved his family, being in the mountains, his cattle and wood working. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you And whispered, come with me. With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you fade away, Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Richard is survived by his wife, Terry, of Salina; his children: Ryan and Desirae Morris of Salina; Chet and Nancy Morris of Eagle Mountain; Annette and Mike Despain of Lynden, Washington; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 15 brothers and 3 sisters. The family wishes to thank Donny and Bruce King for braving the snow storm, to walk up the hill and visit with Richard in his final hours. It meant a lot to him. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Ryan and Desi for all the help and support at the end. Richard, you’ll never know how you will be missed! We love you.
