Ricky Shepherd

Sterling, Utah - Rick Shepherd, passed away peacefully at 10:17 am on May 23, 2024, in Provo, Utah, with his loving sister Ellna Urquhart, and his 3 children Athena Hansen, Angel Andrus and Steven Shepherd by his side.

He was born in Nephi Utah on February 24, 1961, to Derl Glen and Carla Jeannine Bowels Shepherd. He graduated from Kearns high school in 1979.

Some of his favorite hobbies and interest were camping, fishing, working on old muscle cars, barbecuing during the winter, hunting with his dad and cousin Mike Munk, but one of his most favorite was jamming out to Judas Priest, the Beatles and the Scorpions with his kids. He also had a love for animals but his favorite was cats.

After many years of living in Kearns UT, he decided to plant his roots in Sterling UT, where he met his good friend Travis Christensen.

He is survived by his kids: Athena (Casey) Utah, Angel (Kevin) Washington, Steven (Jenn) Indiana, his sister Ellna (Don) Montana and his 7 beautiful grand kids.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Derl and Jeannine Shepherd, his brother: Steve Shepherd; and many other family members.

In lieu of a funeral/memorial services we will lay dad's ashes to rest in the Sterling cemetery @ 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2024. From there, we would like you to join us for a celebration of life to share stories and enjoy a luncheon at the Sterling Park, 155 West 100 North in Sterling, Utah, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm the same day.
