Rita Ann Cranston

Aurora, Utah/Las Vegas, NV - Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Rita Ann Zamiska Cranston, age 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly of Aurora, Utah, died January 14, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born June 12, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of John Michael and Mary Dziak Zamiska. She married Arthur R. Kenworthy of San Diego, California and they were later divorced. She married Austin Cranston, January 27, 1974 in Long Beach, California. They moved to Aurora, Utah in 1974. He died June 7, 1994. Rita was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a world wide traveler and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and cooking. She especially loved lap-time with her beloved cat, Tabby. She was an active member of the Ladies of Elks and the Eastern Star in Richfield. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada three years ago. She is survived by her children: Leah Ann Kenworthy of San Francisco, California; John Andrew Kenworthy of Atlanta, Georgia; Kenneth William Kenworthy of San Diego, California; 2 grandchildren: Julia Kaya Kenworthy of Atlanta, Georgia and Robert Roff Kenworthy of Fresno, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Austin Cranston. Grave side services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
