Toquerville/Salina, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Robert Thomas Shepherd, age 47, passed away March 16, 2016 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born March 12, 1969 in Richfield, Utah, a son of William Thomas and Paulette Bastian Shepherd. He graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1987 and then attended the Trade Tech going out in auto body. He married Tammy M. Moon, September 4, 1993 in Salina. Rob served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He was helping to rebuild the military base in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he was active in the Scouting Program and served as a Scout Leader. He would always cut wood for the disabled and elderly member of his ward and community. Rob loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, camping, fishing, snow skiing, rappelling, hiking, Dutch Oven Cooking, riding motorcycle and water skiing. He was also a wonderful carpenter and he could fix or build anything. He loved the campfire and loved helping others and teaching people the trades that he mastered. Rob will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Tammy, of Toquerville; children: Tawny Moon of St. George; Kenan Bulow of Toquerville; three grandchildren: Thomas Lafayette, Gracie Bulow and Billy Bob Bulow; his mother: Paulette Denham of Marana, Arizona; brothers: Bret and Jenny Shepherd of Gilbert, Arizona; Justus and Jill Keller of Buckeye, Arizona; brother-in-law: Rob Moon of LaVerkin; nieces and nephew: Ashley Shaiden Moon, Talon Moon, Lexi Shepherd, Ashlyn Keller and Briley Keller. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Shepherd; grandparents: Myrt Martin, Genave Bastian, Paul Bastian and Ted Shepherd. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. on the Shaw Family Farm in Salina. Grave side services with military honor accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard will be held immediately following the services in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
