Mick Eastmond Lehi/Sandy, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Robert McKinley “Mick” Eastmond, age 79, died May 23, 2003 in Draper, Utah. He was born May 8, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Frank and Clarissa Jean Taylor Eastmond. He married Cherry Springer, June 15, 1949 in Salt Lake City. She died February 9, 1990. He married Bonnie Cooper, February 7, 1992 in Draper, Utah. Mick graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City, Class of 1941. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Utah, Stanford University and the International School of Business in Phoenix, Arizona. He practiced physical therapy in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. He was the owner of Saratoga Resort. Mick loved flying, skiing, dancing, golfing and many other activities. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Sandy; children: Dirk and Eileen Eastmond of Sandy; Shelly Eastmond of Salt Lake City; Shannon Eastmond of Idaho Falls, ID; Charris and Ken Kirkham of Santaquin; grandchildren: Cori Jacobs of Lehi; Tayne Eastmond of Santaquin; McKell, Sierra and McKinley Eastmond, all of Sandy; great-grandchildren: Colby and Taylor Jacobs, both of Lehi; brother: Dr. Jefferson and Alberta Eastmond of Provo. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Taylor, Richard”Dick” and sister, Jean Gordan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main Street in Lehi, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and Thursday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post, under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
