Robert S. Jensen “Family Patriarch” 02/18/18 - 03/10/03 Salina, Utah - Robert Soren Jensen, age 85, of Salina, died March 10, 2003 in Richfield, Utah. He was born February 18, 1918 in Centerfield, Utah, a son of Alexius Christian and Christena Jensen Jensen. He married Marjorie Crane, November 20, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Robert was a veteran of World War II. He was very active in the LDS Church. He loved farming and he loved his family. Survived by his wife of Salina; children: Geri Cottle, Snowflake, AZ; Janice Bristow, Orem; Margene Mellor, Fayette; Brent Jensen, Midland, MI; Paul Jensen, Salina; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Ivan Jensen, Eugene Jensen and Elva Jensen, all Centerfield, Zelma Kelly, Tooele and Moyle Jensen, Sandy. Preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Jensen; granddaughter, Lori Jensen; sister, Margaret Thomsen and a brother, Rignel Jensen. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2003, 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday evening 6 to 8 P.M. and again Friday morning, 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery.
