Roger Elmer Scovil

Roger E. Scovil Monroe, Utah - Roger E. Scovil, a man of wisdom, intelligence and humor, passed away July 4, 2004 at his home in Monroe. During his brief stay, he showed his extreme dedication to the things he loved most, which included his beloved wife of 30 years, Jackie Lee Scovil; and his love of family, farming, hunting and nature. He was born Roger Elmer Scovil, May 15, 1950 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Elmer B. and Helen Emma Isbell Scovil. He married Jackie Lee Watkins, May 11, 1974 in Monroe, Utah. Roger worked for UDOT as a Permit Supervisor. He will truly be missed but never forgotten by those whose hearts he touched. Roger is survived by his wife of Monroe; daughter: Nicole V. and Elzie Lay of Richfield; grandchildren: Shyanne Mylene Memmott; Rylee Joetta Memmott; Hunter R. Memmott and Sara V. Hastings; sister: Bonnie Dastrup of Ogden. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Starrett and Karen Cannon. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
