Neola, Utah - Rollo Charles Brinkerhoff (Hay burner) age 67 of Neola, passed away at his home in Neola, on November 7, 2015 of a massive heart attack. He was born October 24, 1948 in Salina, Utah, a son of Bliss Burr and Nina Bell Peterson Brinkerhoff. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1966. He was called to serve an LDS Mission to Georgia in 1967. After his mission, he married Carol Turner on September 18, 1970 in the Manti LDS Temple. Rollo and Carol lived in Bicknell for a while and later moved to Roosevelt, where they raised their five children and Rollo started his truck driving career. He drove truck for 40 plus years, driving over 5 million miles and earning several safety awards along the way. Rollo was an outstanding employee, working many long hours, several days straight, without any complaints. He was also an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. There are very few people who would give you the last dollar they had or the shirt off their back, but Rollo was one of those people. He lived through his family. One of his greatest joys was his grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally. Rollo and Carol loved to take their grandkids on fishing trips any chance they had. Rollo also loved to go hunting, riding horses, going down below on the desert, but most importantly, taking trips down to Wayne County to see his love, Carol. Rollo is survived by his wife, Carol; his father, Bliss Brinkerhoff; his children: Denise and Jason Yazzie; Mark Brinkerhoff; Lesa Bolton and Dennis Duncan; Joyce and Patrick Newberry; Judy and Brandon Jarman; grandchildren: Kelsie Jack, Kayla Jack; Jaden Yazzie; Gage Bolton; Kabree Duncan; Kennedy Duncan; Jaxon Duncan; Morgan Newberry; Rylee Newberry; Braxton Newberry; Jake Daniels; Cholton Jarman; Teran Jarman; Treycen Jarman; a great-grandson: Porter Daniels; siblings: David and Coral Brinkerhoff; Neal and Brenda Brinkerhoff; Chad and Pam Brinkerhoff; Dwight and Laura Brinkerhoff; Linda and Rodger Black; and Carol's siblings: Kenneth and Carolyn Turner; Monte and Jeanine Turner; Lila Bowden; Wesley and Victoria Turner; and Michael Turner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nina Brinkerhoff; his parents-in-law: Garn D. and Geneve Duncan Turner; a brother-in-law: Greg Bowden; and a granddaughter, Karlee Jack. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Neola 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 9000 North 2000 West, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
