Ron D. Turner

September 16, 1932 — June 11, 2005

Salina, Utah - Ronald DeWitt Turner, age 72, of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away at the home of a daughter in Bluffdale, Utah on Saturday, June 11, 2005, surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born September 16, 1932 in Denver Colorado, a son of DeWitt A. and Margaret Vohn Loudermilk Turner. He married Molly Sue Maberry July 16, 1951 in Denver, Colorado. They were later divorced. He married Beverly Ewles, March 21, 1955 in Salina, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in Los Angeles LDS Temple January 17, 1962. She died March 20, 1971. He married Lola Irene Ehn November 18, 1972 in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in Manti LDS Temple November 16, 1972. Ron was a member of LDS, Church, member of Salina Lions Club where he served as president and was State Lions Secretary. He was retired from U.S. Air Force. Ron is survived by his wife Irene, Mesquite, NV; children: Marjorie Turner. Salina; Merri Lynn (Perry) Sorensen, Centerfield; Michael (Naomi) Turner, Richfield; Earlene (Larry) Frech, Bluffdale; Zara (Glade) Faatz, Mayfield; Rebecca (Lon) Pritchard, Michael (Jerrie Lin) Hansen, all of Ogden; Alan (Gaylene) Hansen, South Jordan; 28 grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Eugene (Emily) Turner, Seattle, WA; Phillip (Hanne) Turner, Kansas City, MO; Colleen Weyburn, Layton; John (Lola) Ewles, San Clemente, CA; Courtney (Sherri) Ewles, Salina; Carol Woolsey, Sandy; Lloyd (Alice) Ewles, Beaver Dam, AZ. Funeral services will be Thursday June 16, 2005 at 12:00 Noon Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main in Salina, Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. and at Stake Center, Thursday Morning 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
