Rosie Anderson

Mayfield, Utah - Our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, neighbor and friend, Zelma Rose Anderson (Rosie) passed away at the age of 94 on July 7, 2024 in Centerfield.

Rosie was born in Centerfield on August 21st, 1929 to Orvil Hamilton Barney and Hannah Matilda Follett Barney. She married Elmo M. Anderson October 16th 1947. She lived in Mayfield for 75 years. Together they raised 6 children: Glen, Cathy, Ellen, Susan, Slade, and Terrie. Elmo passed away on November 3rd, 1987.

Rosie lived a life of hard work. She enjoyed gardening and was renowned for keeping an immaculate yard. She loved to cook, serving as a high school lunch lady, but also serving her family in her own kitchen. Her family has many fond memories of Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving at Grandma's house. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Rosie is survived by her children: Cathy Livingston, Ellen Atkin, Susan (Dale Ray) Petersen, Slade (Celia) Anderson, Terrie (Terry) Lacrue, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son: Glen O. Anderson, daughter-in-law Pamela Anderson, son-in-law Casey Livingston, 1 grandchild and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Rosie will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday July 11th, 2024 at the Mayfield cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
