Ross Christensen

December 24, 1943 — November 28, 2023

Monroe, Utah - Ross Christensen, age 79, peacefully passed away November 28, 2023, at his home in Monroe. He was born December 24, 1943, in Redmond, Utah, a son of Raymond William and Lucille Jensen Christensen, and was welcomed home by an older brother, Ned and an older sister, Donna.


He proudly served our country in the army as an M.P. and sharp shooter. He was stationed in Germany.


Ross married Debbie Faye Syddall May 17, 2003 in the Manti LDS Temple.


If he wasn't at home with Debbie, they were up the mountain hunting, fishing and camping with family. Ross made fine saddles and did leather work.


Ross Christensen will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his teasing and mostly for his kindhearted nature. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


Ross is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Faye Christensen; he also leaves behind a cherished legacy of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy; sons: Jason Ross Christensen (Sydney), Judd Christensen (Alissa), Lee High (Wendy), Dan High (Ashley), Rex High (Michelle), Melonie Amie, and Trent Christensen; grandchildren: Kyler, Brady and Jace Christensen, Shaylyn Townsend (Dustin), Keirston and Jett High, NiKayla Shaw, Harley Shaw, Talan Shaw, Clay and Bryce Christensen (Tya Foremaster) and Taylan, Kellan, Graydan Hendrickson, Chance Wilson, Alisha Stelly (Dustin), Tristan Houskeeper (Natasha), Kaya Johnson (Marcus), Ty High, Mckennon Wilstead, Cami Cornelius (Hunter), Kate, Samantha and Cooper High, Brynley and Kallie Christensen, Emily and Travis Smith, Savanna Jensen; great grandkids: Taya and Dax Townsend, Ripp Christensen, Austin Cornelius, Mariah and Madisynn Houskeeper, Violet and Liam Stelly, Mylo and Hazel Johnson; sister Donna Burns; sister-in-law: Norma Christensen.



He was preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Raymond Christensen, brother Ned Christensen, brother-in-law Dan Burns and great grandchild Mariah.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 140 South Main Street in Monroe. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Stake Center in Monroe, Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37 and the Utah Honor Guard under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
