Roy Roberts Redmond, Utah - Norman LeRoy “Roy” Roberts, age 68, of Redmond, died May 3, 2004 in Provo, Utah. He was born September 24, 1935 in Joseph, Utah, a son of Deloy and Phyllis Hansen Roberts. He married Carol Smith and had five children. They were divorced. He married Laura Lee Cabanse and had two children. They were later divorced. Roy had a tender heart and his door was always open for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by those close to him. Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing and if coaxed hard enough, an occasional horse back ride with Kim and Dave. He also looked forward to weekly poker games with the family. Roy always had a remodeling job going on with is house. He is survived by his mother of Redmond; children: Terry and Shane Thompson of Syracuse; Kim and David Fischer of Springville; Jodi Haddox and Al Hawkins of North Ogden; Tammie and Craig John of Layton; Chad and Natalie Roberts of Kaysville; Misty Noumeier of Layton and Cindy Haacke of Centerville; three brothers and one sister: Jim Roberts of Georgia; Ray and Sheri Roberts of Salina; Blain and Lynn Roberts of West Valley City; Linda and Dennis Helms of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Deloy, two brothers: Bud and Con and a granddaughter, Danielle. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Salina, Thursday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services.
