Taylorsville/Teasdale, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Russell Kennedy Turner, age 69, passed away on his 69th birthday on Monday, July 18, 2011 while on vacation with his family in Boise, Idaho. He was born July 18, 1942 in Bicknell, Utah, a son of David Lorin and Emma Kennedy Turner. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1960 and married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Forsyth, August 12, 1960 in Teasdale, Utah. He served his country in the United States Navy. Russell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping, four-wheeling, fishing, golfing and running errands with his favorite four legged friend, Calvert. He is survived by his wife; children: Debra Dean (Shawn Huffman) Turner and Bradley Russell Turner; two grandchildren: Trenton James Huffman and Russhelle Joelyn Turner, all of Taylorsville; sister, LaDawn Zabriskie of Torrey; sisters-in-law: Geri Turner of Mayfield; Dorothy Turner of Venice and Norma Dean Griffiths of Teasdale. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darwin Turner and Roscoe Turner; one sister, Darlene Turner; and a brother-in-law: Lloyd Zabriskie. Russell always considered Wayne County his home and he will be laid to rest there on Monday, July 25, 2011. Friends may call for viewing at the Cultural Hall in Teasdale, Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the grave side services at 1:00 P.M. The services are casual and very informal. Please come in your jeans and T-shirts. That's the way Russell would of wanted it!!! Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
