Ryan V. Freeman

Ogden/Aurora, Utah - Ryan Vern Freeman, age 27, passed away on April 10, 2006 in Ogden. He was born March 14, 1979 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Kent V and Marlis Zietlow Freeman. He graduated from North Sevier High School in Salina in 1997. While attending high school, Ryan was introduced to two hobbies which became passions, drama and martial arts. Ryan enjoyed performing, but he also spent a lot of time behind the scenes, helping to put on several high school productions. He was particularly fond of musicals. After graduating from high school, he traveled to Europe, where he was able to see his favorite musical, “Les Miserables” in London, England. Ryan earned numerous awards in martial arts competitions. He earned his brown belt, and for a while, taught martial arts in his own studio in Aurora. Ryan studied criminal justice at Weber State University in Ogden, where he met Brandy Rae Huddleston. They were married May 19, 2001 in Ogden. Ryan loved to cook and often delighted family and friends with his culinary expertise. He leaves behind his wife, Brandy, and three daughters, (his “drei Engel”), Hannah, Cosette and Elissia Dawn; his parents, Kent and Marlis of Aurora; brothers, Frank of Las Vegas, NV; Rycharn (Kelly) of West Valley City; sister, Angela Rotzler (David) of Taylorsville; his grandfather, Vern Freeman of Lindon. Ryan was a beloved and devoted grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and most importantly to him, husband and father. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark; uncles, Larry and Brice Freeman; grandparents: Elda Curtis Freeman; Walter and Ursula Dux Zietlow. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Aurora, Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
