Sandra Lee Herbert

Richfield, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Sandra Lee Herbert, age 75, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Provo, Utah of complications from a heart attack. She was born August 18, 1938 in Preston, Idaho, a daughter of Thomas and Merle Stocks Sant. She graduated from Preston High School and attended the University of Utah and Weber State College. She married Douglas Ernest "Herb" Herbert, February 13, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri. He died January 5, 2014. What a colorful life our mother had. Mom, you've done it all. You saw the world, loved an amazing amount, laughed, cried, taught, danced and had fun. You raised us and taught us well. Your were the life of the party. You were everything from a waitress to an airplane mechanic. The love story you shared with our dad belongs in a story book, but is all yours. He's been waiting for you for two months....Go - - Dance!!! We will miss you both. We will keep you in our hearts forever. We love you!!! Sandra is survived by her children: Terry and Beverly Major of Rancho Cucamonga, California; Marcy and Ted Korgenski of Ogden; Ernest and Sharon Herbert of Layton; Sonya Weiss of Sunset; Scott Schofield of Clearfield; Keri and Tyler Walker, Becky and George Knorr, all of Richfield; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also helped to raise David Schofield and Bonnie Jacquez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Herbert; her father, Thomas Sant; her mother, Merle Stevenson and a sister, Sally Cottle. Private family services were held at the family home in Richfield. Burial will take place at a later date under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
