Sarah Martin Nay

On August 4, 2020 our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Sarah Arlena Martin Nay joined her sweetheart, Jerry, in heaven. She will be missed dearly. We will cherish our memories of her. Sarah was born April 12, 1937 in Haleyville, Alabama, a daughter of Lester and Mary Inez Bray Martin. She married Jerry Jay Nay December 26, 1960 in Ely, Nevada. To this union were born eight wonderful children. Jerry died October 1, 1997. Sarah is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and camping. She loved to cook southern dishes, especially her fried chicken. Her children are: Jerry and Kyoko Nay of Groton, Connecticut; Douglas and Geri Nay of Magna; David (deceased) and Linda Nay of Las Vegas, Nevada; Wilda and Foster Moosman of Joseph; Diane Nay (Deceased); Shawn and Stephani Alonzo of Amarillo, Texas; Shane Nay of Draper and Janell Nay of Santaquin; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; a brother Duke and Linda Martin of Alabama. She is preceded in death also by a grandson, Alexander Elkins; and siblings, Rina Martin and Buddy Martin. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
