Shane D. Mattingly

Shane Douglas Mattingly, age 45, passed away June 27, 2014 at his home in Murray. He was born June 12, 1969 in Salt Lake City, a son of Richard Douglas and Carolyn DeLeeuw Mattingly. He graduated from Granger High School, Class of 1987. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the LDS Church. Shane loved spending time with his family and friends; the outdoors, camping, cliff jumping, sky diving, target shooting and boating. He also loved playing World of War Craft. He was an avid Yankees and Steelers fan. He was loved by all who knew him. Shane is survived by his parents, Richard and Carolyn Mattingly; sisters: Wendy M and Travis B. Blanchard; Kimberly Mattingly; nephews and nieces: Xerxes B. Blanchard, Mayleigh M. Blanchard, Jonas A. Blanchard and Kezlynn B. Blanchard, all of West Valley City. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his soul mate and love of his life. Grave side services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Bicknell Cemetery, Bicknell, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Jordan North 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 3836 West 4100 South in West Valley City, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
