Sharon Anderson Christensen

Sharon A. Christensen Gunnison, Utah - Our kind and compassionate wife, daughter, sister and aunt, Sharon Anderson Christensen, age 51, died August 16, 2004 in Provo, Utah. She was born March 18, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, a daughter of Fredrick Moyle and Lola Merriam Anderson. She graduated from Manti High School, Class of 1970. She married Kent J. Christensen, May 13, 1972 in Manti, Utah. Sharon worked for Gunnison Home Health as a Home Health Nurse. She cared for many people in the community and she had compassion for everyone. She loved people and they loved her. She was active in the LDS Church where she served as a Primary Teacher and the Primary Secretary. Sharon loved collecting teddy bears. She like camping, four wheeling, fishing and she enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was especially fond of her dog, Muffin. Sharon is survived by her husband of Gunnison; her mother, Lola Anderson of Manti; a brother, Owen and Diane Anderson of Bountiful; 6 nephews; 1 niece; 11 grand-nephews and 5 grand-nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Moyle Anderson and a brother, Paul Anderson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and again Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
