Sharon M. Springer

Sharon M. Springer 1939 – 2020 Salina, Utah - Myrtle Sharon Moss Springer, age 80, passed away Monday May 4, 2020 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born August 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Royal and June Mann Moss. She was the second of five children. Sharon spent her childhood years in Bountiful, Utah, graduating from Bountiful High School in 1957. Sharon met her future husband, Joe Hardy Springer in Salt Lake City. They were married on October 30, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. After their marriage they moved to Salina, Utah to help run the family business, Springer Mortuary. Sharon spent many hours along the side of Joe running the business. Sharon loved spending time doing genealogy. She would spend hours organizing her family group sheets and collecting information. She enjoyed sharing the books she compiled with her family. Sharon loved to spend time on the water and was a skilled waterskier. Sharon was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharon is survived by her sons: Kelly (Ellen) Springer, Gaylan (Kristen) Springer all of Delta, Utah; and Blake Springer of Salina, Utah; her sisters: Juliene (Dennis) Scott of Kaysville, Utah; Malia (John) Lewis of Pennsylvania; her sister-in-laws: Sharon Moss of Magna, Utah; Claudia Cook of Torrey, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Springer; parents; brothers: Maynard Moss; Dexter Moss; daughters: Sheila Springer and Linda Jacobsen. The family would like to thank the staff at Mission at Community Rehab and At Home Health and Hospice for their loving care of our mother. Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Friday May 8, 2020 at the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Friday morning 10:30 -11:30 a.m. prior to services.
