Shelby Marie Gudmundson

Torrey, Utah – Shelby Marie Olson Gudmundson, age 55, passed away January 21, 2023, at her home in Torrey. She was born April 7, 1967, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Duane Roger and Peggy Louise Jones Olson.

Shelby married Douglas Stewart February 7, 1987. To this union were born three boys. They were later divorced.

She had lived in Bicknell, Montana and then moved to Torrey. Shelby enjoyed fishing, hunting, crocheting, and doing crafts. She was very proud of her Native American Heritage on her father’s side. She worked at Slackers Burger Joint in Torrey and was a friend to everyone she met.

She loved her grandkids. They were her pride and joy.

Shelby will be missed by all her friends and acquaintances.

She is survived by her two sons: Douglas (Digger) and Jill Stewart of Koosharem; Shane Stewart of Torrey; grandchildren: Lauren, Kylie, Emma, Urban and Brooklyn Stewart; nieces and nephews: Connie and Bill Brown, Robert and Lisa Armstrong; Stacey and Steve Perkins, Amanda Armstrong, and many friends.

Shelby is preceded in death by a son, Cody Deloy Stewart; her mother, Peggy Anderson; her father, Duane Roger Olson; a sister, Katie Armstrong; and a nephew, Clifford (Junior) Armstrong.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
