Sherman L. Baldwin

Caliente, Nevada/Monroe, Utah - Sherman Lee Baldwin, age 72, of Caliente, Nevada and formerly of Monroe, passed away April 26, 2016 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born April 5, 1944 in Provo, Utah, a son of Elden Sharon and Marjorie Stanton Baldwin. He married Diana Jean Perkins, March of 1965 in Richfield. They were later divorced. He married Charlotte A. Tatman, January 19, 1972 in Castle Dale, Utah. She died March 9, 1982. He then married Linnea Feltus Harris August 27, 1987 in Caliente, Nevada. Sherman retired from the United States Army. During the Viet Nam Conflict, he stepped on a land mine and was left 100 % disabled. He enjoyed camping and mining for gold. He is survived by his wife, Linnea, of Caliente; a son, Jimmy Lee Hansen of Richfield; daughter-in-law: Sandy Hansen of Salina; step-children: Valeri (deceased) and Herb Doss of Dolan Springs, Arizona; Theresa and Randy Roshe of Long Beach, California; Dwayne Harris of Caliente, Nevada; Tina and Duane Hopster of Henderson, Nevada; and Brent Harris of Azalia, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; brother, Mickey Baker of Grants Pass, Oregon. He is preceded in death by two brothers, DeRoy Baker and Louis Baker. Grave side services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. or Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Monroe American Legion Post #37 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
