On Monday June 17, 2019 Sheron Clyde Harward, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Salina. Sheron was born October 9, 1938 in Gunnison, Utah a son of Clyde Henry and Iva Beth Tollstrup. Sheron graduated from Gunnison Valley High School, Class of 1956, where he was active in basketball, track and was a member of the band. He attended Brigham Young University and Snow College. On May 25, 1957, "The Best Day of His Life" he married Sheree Jensen "His Sweetheart". Together they were blessed with two children, Holly and Shane. Georgia Pacific was his place of employment for 42 years where he made many lifelong friends. He was proud of his accident free record. Sheron was a gifted artist. Everything he touched went from ordinary to magnificent works of art. His home is decorated with his drawings, engraved elk and moose horns, and ostrich eggs. He also engraved on metal, glass and wood. Being outside with his horses or in the mountains camping, or going for rides and to dinner with friends, brought him peace and pleasure. Sheron may have been quiet but he had a dry wit. He was a self-taught guitarist and in quiet moments would sit, sing and play the guitar. Sheron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in a variety of positions. He extremely enjoyed being the Elders Quorum President and singing with the ward choir. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheree; children: Holly and Mark Ziegler; Shane and Heather Harward; granddaughters: Jordan and Jon Peterson; Kiersten and Kyler Wheeler; McKayla Ziegler; great-granddaughter: Landree Wheeler; brothers: Clark and Noreece Harward; Denzil Harward; brother-in-law: Reid Sorensen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Iva Beth; sisters: Jewel Sorensen and Maurine Jensen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
