Sheron H. Madsen

September 29, 1932 — June 25, 2017

Salina, Utah - Sheron Harward Madsen, age 84, died June 25, 2017 at her home in Salina. She was born September 29, 1932 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Delbert Clayton and Fawn Theo Bench Harward. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1950. She attended the Branch Agricultural College (College of Southern Utah) in Cedar City for 1 year. Sheron married Arlen Leon Madsen, June 12, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple. Sheron was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Sunday School, Young Women and Relief Society in various callings. She also served as the ward chorister and ward choir director. She served as an Ordinance Worker in the Manti Temple along with her husband, Arlen. She was a 4-H Leader, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, taught piano lessons for 50 plus years, and enjoyed making wedding cakes. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, baking, crocheting and music. Sheron is survived by her eternal companion, Arlen, of Salina; children: Marcia and Neal Bosshardt of Redmond; Clair Leon and Cindy Madsen of Riverton; Diane and Wayne Decker of Cedar City; Eugene and Michelle Madsen of St. George; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Harward of Joseph. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
