Sheryl Wood Coleman

February 5, 1965 — December 8, 2021

Monroe, Utah – Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Sheryl Wood Coleman, age 56, passed away peacefully at her home in Monroe on December 8, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born February 5, 1965 in Monticello, Utah, a daughter of Samuel Douglas and VerDawn Chamberlain Wood. Sheryl grew up in Cedar City and Annabella. She attended South Sevier High School, where she was a cheerleader and Senior Class President. She graduated from South Sevier Highs School, Class of 1983 and then attended Brigham Young University. Sheryl married K. Scott Coleman in September of 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada and became the mother to his two children. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse. Sheryl was very outspoken and giving. She had a shining personality that never quit. She was adventurous and always lived for the next great adventure. She enjoyed dancing and talent shows, and spending time with babies. Sheryl loved being at Capitol Reef, Fish Lake and Sturgis with her family. She loved Sunday dinners with her family and lived for her children and grandchildren. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Scott, of Monroe; children: Sophie Trujillo and Bryce Morrill, Karlie and Wyatt Grundy, all of Richfield; John Coleman and Virginia Coleman, both of Highland; Robert and Breauna Ivie of Bismarck, North Dakota; 6 grandchildren: Rayden J. Roberts, Dawson Grundy, Gracee Grundy, Brody Grundy, Madison Beckman and Marlie Ivie; her father, S. Douglas Wood of Annabella; brothers and sisters: John Wood of Montrose, Colorado; Shane and Kara Wood of Grover; Jolynn and Matt Bulkley of St. George; Teresa and Jeff Farr of Montana; Karen and Danny Stanton of Annabella; Julie and Jathan Bingham of Payson. She is preceded in death by her mother, VerDawn Wood; sisters: Christine Wood and Trena Wood; and two grandchildren: Wylie Grundy and Hope Lynn Adams. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Annabella 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Annabella, Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. “It is well with my soul.”
